The radical Van Jones

September 6, 2009

Reading about Jones’ resignation this morning, it is sad to realize that with all the radical connections on Van Jones’ resume it took so much to get him fired.  It was–and should be–frightening that he was appointed in the first place.

The encouraging thing is that he did get fired.

The fact that Howard Dean still supports him says a lot about Dean and the Democratic Party he runs.

Finally, and very tellingly, the fact that the White House said “he was going to get in the way of the president” shows that the character of the Obama administration has not changed one iota.  He’s still willing to throw anybody under the bus.  The goal is everything; individuals are nothing.

Remain vigilant!

Let’s see who replaces him.  Let’s see what cushy lower-profile job they give him.
